The process involved in making glass is called glass blowing. It is a difficult process, but it is nowhere comparable to the process of making crystal chandeliers. The process of making a chandelier of crystals includes many nuanced steps, which are critical and detail hungry. There is no scope of slack and hurry when it comes to crystal making.

Crystals come in different shapes, sizes, patterns and themes. Their appearance is governed by the artist who is involved in the making of a crystal and the process, which is followed to make it. when you are out in the market to buy chandeliers, you must always buy them from a reputed brand.

This is because there are many wily brands that chest the customers and sell glass chandeliers under the façade of crystal chandeliers. One of the safest brands to buy crystal chandeliers from is SOFARY. They sell crystal chandeliers and many more products. If you like art pieces and unique designs of chandeliers, then you will love their products.

How is crystal and glass chandelier made?

Before starting up with the actual process of making the crystal chandeliers, a blueprint is laid down. This blueprint will help in creating individual items with perfection so that they are in uniformity with each other and sync with the final design. The mould which is used for casting is always expected to be of a permanent shape so that there are no aberrations.

Even when the mould is repeatedly used, it must be permanent to ensure a perfect casting. The mixture of raw materials is melted in the furnace at a temperature of 1250 degrees Celsius. When the mixture is in a completely molten state, the riveting process is initiated so that any kind of bubbles can be removed.

When the mixture cools down, glass is processed. This heated glass is later blown into moulds with the help of glass whistles. The shape which is intended to achieve is achieved by turning the whistle in the shape. If the shape desired is more complicated, then pliers and other tools are also used.

When we are done with the cooling of the cast, the excess part of the blank is removed so that any undesirable overlapping and protrusions are removed. Then, this semi-finished product is delivered to the brush-making plant where they get their details. There, abrasive compounds are applied to the cast-iron discs.

These discs gently yet with great detail, grind the glass to give it the desired shape. The result of this process is then polished either mechanically or chemically. Now, specific steps like sanding, gilding and engraving are required on the glass. These processes may differ in their nature and depend on the nature of the components and desire of the customer.

    Conclusion

The process of making glass and crystal elements is excruciatingly detailed and intricate. Chandeliers are pieces of art that are made by crafty artists and long hours of toil and hard work.
