Elon Musk has been headlining news articles for a lot of different reasons. One of them includes announcing Tesla’s dedicated robotic taxi electric vehicle (EV).

Apparently, the per-mile cost of traveling in that vehicle will be less than a bus ticket.

With how rapidly infrastructure around EVs and the EV System are progressing, it would be wise to put that marketing campaign for your company’s new line of gas-fueled trucks on hold. After all, who knows what could happen in the next five years?

For instance, you need to consider what one of your customers may feel like when they pull up next to a completely kitted-out hybrid EV in the future. That fresh coat of paint on their truck won’t be enough to soften the blow of a missed opportunity.

Why Is Everything Supposed to Be Electric Now?

There are plenty of reasons why EVs are catching on right now. Apart from being the focus of major players in multiple sectors, EVs also receive support from governments and policymakers.

It’s vital to understand why exactly EVs receive the support they do. More importantly, how do electronic vehicle systems fit into this context?

    1. Bridging the gap between the traditional vehicle and the EV

Governments worldwide are trying to push their nation to tread the path of sustainability. From stricter targets for carbon emissions to expanding alternative means of transport, policymakers are doing everything to help reduce reliance on fossil fuels.

The Biden administration, for example, put a target of 50% for EV sales in all new vehicle purchases by 2030.

In addition, most governments offer significant subsidies to EVs. This is all done to help ensure the world is consistently moving towards a better place. EVs, for governments, are a critical element of this journey.

Vehicular software and hardware systems bridge the gap between the traditional gas-fueled car and the EV. More companies are looking toward integrating such features into newer models of their cars to access that growing market.

The idea is to promote a gradual shift to more automated and innovative vehicle systems.

    1. The technology sector has pushed a vehicle from being a ‘car’ to an ‘experience’.

Major players in the technology sector are accelerating the process of automotive innovation. New concepts around shared transportation and autonomous electric vehicles are discussed every day.

With more investments flowing into EVs and their continuous developments, it’s getting harder to ignore that the world is witnessing the birth of a future revolution.

Although the pace of development is subject to speculation, it is undeniable that the face of automotive mobility will change soon. Electricity will be the new fuel.

In the context of an EV System, the world has already accepted that a traditional car won’t just cut it anymore. People want systems in place now. A car is not just a car any longer. It has to be, first and foremost, an ‘experience’.

    In Summary

Technology has pervaded everything now. It’s no surprise, then, that people want more from their cars. For instance, an assistive system pulling the brakes to avoid a collision with another car is always welcome. Cars have become smarter with the use of the latest technology.

After all, if you were to get into a car, you would find that heated seats are always better than cold ones.
